Christian John Thomas, is a singer/songwriter from Cleveland, Ohio. Spending most of his music career performing in professional musical theatre and opera productions, he recently made his solo debut at Carnegie Hall and his cabaret debut at 54 Below in NYC.
Some of his favorite performances include the following: Joseph in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat“, Pippin in “Pippin,” the NYC workshop of “Kris Kringle The Musical” (with Broadway stars Cathy Rigby & Pamela Myers), and Daniel in the regional premiere of “A Great Wilderness” (Critics' Choice Award). At 15, Christian became the youngest contracted member of the Cleveland Opera Theatre, appearing in “La Bohème,” “The Marriage of Figaro,” and “Madame Butterfly.” As a member of the acclaimed vocal group The Singing Angels, he sang backup for Christopher Cross (Dave Koz Show) and opened for The Irish Tenors and Hot Chelle Rae.
Christian was raised by two children’s book authors, John & Danita Thomas, who inspired him and fostered his love of penning poetry. Attending college at Baldwin Wallace University’s prestigious musical theater program, Christian left in his freshman year and was provided with the invaluable opportunity of pursuing his true dream — a solo pop/classical career. His passion is to incorporate his life-long poetry into songs.
Christian recently released his first single and music video, “Lost In The Waves” by composers/lyricists Kooman & Diamond.
