Aisha Jackson and Alyssa Fox of Broadway's Frozen continue their campaign for Gun Reform after a successful concert November 4th at Middle Collegiate Church. The Broadway stars treated a packed house of concertgoers with roof raising vocal selections. The night was featured speeches from activists, Broadway performers, and representatives from Mom's Deman Action. Donations are still being accepted until Monday November 11, 2019.

The Public Theater will present the Annual Gala performance of the groundbreaking and thought-provoking musical RUNAWAYS by Elizabeth Swados on Monday, June 11 at the Delacorte Theater. There will also be a free added public performance of the musical on Tuesday, June 12, open to all.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that there will be a free added public performance of the groundbreaking and thought-provoking musical RUNAWAYS by Elizabeth Swados on Tuesday, June 12 at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Sam Pinkleton, with choreography by Ani Taj, and creative advisement by Jeanine Tesori, the additional performance will celebrate the 40th anniversary of this milestone production that first premiered at The Public in 1978 and continues to be a definitive moment in Public Theater history.

Award-winning New York based writer and performer Tim Realbuto, who will star in the upcoming motion picture YES (based on his stage play of the same name), will bring his popular 'Because I Can' concert series to an end at the Triad Theatre on Friday, February 9th, 2018 at 7:00 PM. He premiered his first 'Because I Can' concert at The Metropolitan Room last April and performed part two earlier this month at The Triad. The Metropolitan Room has been the producer of all three 'Because I Can' shows, but the second incarnation and now the third and final one will be performed at The Triad as The Metropolitan Room is in the middle of moving locations.

Photo Flash: BROADWAY KIDS FOR ORLANDO: ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE Honors Orlando Victims
On Monday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Don't Tell Mama, several young past and present performers from Broadway joined forces in a benefit cabaret to raise money and show support for the victims, survivors and those suffering as a result of the mass shooting in Orlando this month. The benefit was entitled Broadway Kids for Orlando: All You Need is Love. One hundred percent of the proceeds are being donated to the GLBT Center of Central Florida, and all 49 victims of The Pulse Nightclub shooting were honored in the program. Tony Award winner Beth Leavel is the final performer to join the cast of Tim Realbuto's 'Wunderkind.' Ms. Leavel is most known for her Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award winning performance as the title character in Broadway's 'The Drowsy Chaperone.' She was Tony nominated for her performance in Baby, It's You!, and also starred on Broadway in Elf, 42nd Street, Young Frankenstein, Mamma Mia!, The Civil War, Show Boat, and Crazy For You.
