BWW Review: Shattered by THE GLASS MENAGERIE at Brigit St Brigit Theatre Company
Sometimes a production is more than a play. It's a slice of humanity with all its warts and blemishes. Brigit St Brigit Theatre Company took Tennessee Williams' powerful WIngfield family drama to the stage at the Jewish Community Center tonight and left me desolate. THE GLASS MENAGERIE studies a mother, a son, and a daughter with their complex relationship of love and control.
BWW Review: UNCLE VANYA at Brigit Saint Brigit Theatre Company: Misery Meets Magical
The Brigit Saint Brigit Theatre Company opens UNCLE VANYA at the Joslyn Castle. The stellar cast under the able direction of Cathy Kurz perfectly carries out Chekhov's desire for naturalism. They do not overact. There is no melodrama or big gestures. They feel the emotion and it is exposed. This is stripped down genuine humanity and it is truly special.
BWW Review: Take a Stand for EMINENT DOMAIN
Directed by Amy Lane, this cast is stellar. They aren't even acting. They flawlessly embody the MacLeods and lawyers living out their drama. There will be awards…lots of awards…for Laura Leininger-Campbell's production, EMINENT DOMAIN.
