BIO
Chris Raymond was born and raised in Los Angeles. Raymond is classically trained on piano, guitar, clarinet, voice and percussion. At the age of 15, Raymond was chosen by Tony-Award Winning composer, Jason Robert Brown to play in the pit orchestra for "13 The Musical" at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. Raymond also performed in the orchestra for "13" at The Mark Taper Forum (Los Angeles), The Goodspeed Opera House (Connecticut) and on BROADWAY at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (New York City).
Other musical credits for Chris Raymond include playing in the 2011 North American Tour of Handel's Messiah Rocks (a modern rendition of the classic oratorio that featured an orchestra, three choirs, three lead singers and a rock trio). Raymond has also played alongside Herbie Hancock at The Roxy Theatre in Hollywood and while still in middle school, Chris arranged a contemporary version of the Oreo Theme Song for a national commercial that featured Randy Jackson of American Idol.
Chris Raymond studied music composition and performance at California Institute of the Arts (founded by Walt Disney). Raymond is currently writing an original musical that will be produced in 2013.

This Spotlight focuses on Kelly Brighton, an Actor, Singer, Composer/Lyricist, Producer/Arranger and Writer who has appeared in theatrical productions his entire life. As a member of DOMA Theatre, Kelly has received accolades for his roles in several company productions. He is also preparing to take a new musical he has written to the stage, and as a Recording Artist works with some of the finest producers and recording engineers in Hollywood. So what's this always-busy guy up to while quarantined at home?

Professional Los Angeles intimate theater companies and their friends sold out Los Angeles Theatre Center to support the second-ever STAGE RAW THEATRE AWARDS. Picking up where the LA WEEKLY Awards left off, and hosted by the Independent Shakespeare Co. and Dr. Pinch and Pinchtones, the best of 99-seat theatre was celebrated in an exuberant and emotional evening that put a "Raw" spotlight on the year's best work.
