2017 Spotlight Award Nominees Announced
As Tony Award nominations were being revealed on Tuesday to honor productions and performances during the 2016-17 season, organizers of The 2017 Spotlight Awards - honoring the best in high school musical theater throughout Middle Tennessee - were tallying scores and assembling all the names of nominees for the awards presentation to be held Saturday, May 13, at Andrew Johnson Hall at Nashville's Tennessee Performing Arts Center.

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Every Little Step star and multiple Helen Hayes Award winner Natascia Diaz in her New York City solo debut on Wednesday, June 15 at 7:00 pm, following her acclaimed and nominated performance as Anita in Signature Theatre's sold out run of West Side Story in Washington DC.

Watch out! Richard Schechner returns, armed with another series of shocks and surprises: the world premiere of "Imagining O" at Peak Performances, September 10-13. Transforming the notoriously erotic French novel "Story of O" into a multi-site, immersive production, the 80 year-old director's most recent work promises to reaffirm Peak's commitment to the ultra and outre challenge, and the director's reputation for creating uncomfortable joy in his audiences. The show opens the Kasser Theater's 10th anniversary season.
