BWW Review: THE NORMAL HEART at Richmond Triangle Players is an Essential Piece of Theatre
The Richmond Triangle Players' production of Larry Kramer's THE NORMAL HEART is not the most polished audiences have seen, but it is one of the most important and heartrending pieces of theatre the company has produced in recent years. While the story may be more compelling to those who lived through the AIDS crisis, it's imperative for millennials to visit this monumental time in LGBTQ history.

The production's presenting partner is Health Brigade, a leader in AIDS-related service for almost four decades.
BWW Review: MURDER BALLAD at 5th Wall Theatre
True to their slogan 'Theatre Beyond Boundaries,' director Lucian Restivo and the personnel at 5th Wall have executed (pun intended) a distinctly immersive theatrical gambit with pulverizing marks. By staging Murder Ballad entirely within the confines of the main room at Club Infuzion in Scott's Addition (as per the original Off-Broadway production's cue to venue selection), the audience is treated to a 360 degree display of four spellbinding actors belting out booming rock tunes whilst weaving around and about the respective patrons' tables and sitting areas.
5th Wall Announces Its Production of MURDER BALLAD
Artistic Director Carol Piersol and 5th Wall Theatre are thrilled to announce their production of the intense Off-Broadway musical Murder Ballad, an edgy show that follows the exploits of protagonist Sara as she navigates the complications of a love triangle gone wrong and a past that won't leave her alone. Directed by renown local director Lucian Restivo, this show features a talented cast of Richmond performers including Katrinah Carol Lewis, Durron Tyre, Chris Hester, and Rachel Rose Gilmour, with music direction by Kim Fox. This musical, with music and lyrics by Juliana Nash and book and lyrics by Julia Jordan, was originally performed Off-Broadway at a bar venue in New York City, allowing audience members to immerse themselves in the action of the play. 5th Wall will create this same atmosphere of immersion by performing the show at local Richmond venue Club Infuzion in Scott's Addition, who is also a sponsor for this production.
Casting Announced for THE TOXIC AVENGER at 5TH WALL THEATRE
Carol Piersol and 5th Wall Theatre are proud to announce their production of “The Toxic Avenger” (book and lyrics written by Joe DiPietro, music and lyrics written by David Bryan), a raucous rock musical based on the 1984 cult classic film of the same name. Keith Fitzgerald helms as director with a cast of talented Richmond performers: Alexander Sapp, Debra Wagoner, Rachel Rose Gilmour, William Anderson, and Chris Hester, with music direction by Starlet Knight and choreography by Emily Dandridge.

BWW Reviews: Come to the Seductive and Stirring CABARET in Richmond
Richmond Triangle Players closes its season with the Sam Mendes revival of Kander and Ebb's CABARET, which has returned to Broadway for a limited engagement at Studio 54. While it would be a real treat to see Alan Cumming, Michelle Williams and company, the Triangle Players' production stands well on its own.
