2021 Dora Mavor Moore Ancillary Awards to Proceed Virtually in June
Today, TAPA Executive Director Jacoba Knaapen announced that the 2021 Dora Mavor Moore Ancillary Awards will go forward in celebration of the city’s performing arts community and its hard work and resiliency in the face of immense difficulties over this past pandemic season.
Nominations for the 2020 Dora Mavor Moore Awards Announced
At an online media announcement - pre-taped in front of Meridian Hall with physically distanced protocols in place - streamed June 8 on the Dora Awards YouTube channel, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced 243 nominations for the 41st annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards.
TAPA Announces Gender-Neutral Performance Awards For 2019
At a press conference held today at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, the Toronto Alliance for the Performing Arts (TAPA) announced a major change to performance categories for the Dora Mavor Moore Awards that will be implemented for next year's 40th Anniversary Dora Mavor Moore Awards in June 2019.

The 2013 Dora Awards took place in Toronto on Monday June 25th at The St Lawrence Centre for the Arts. To accommodate demand, the Bluma theatre was also opened up for guests and the awards were live-streamed via 'Doratron'. As in previous years, there was a glamorous VIP ceremony pre-show followed by a post show street party that closed down Front Street. A record number of Doras were given out, with Young People's Theatre's CINDERELLA the runaway hit of the evening with seven awards. BWW is thrilled readers photos from the evening.
