Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles Parodies Kmart's Joe Boxer Holiday Ad

Members of Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) produced a short video parody (below) with a nod to the viral success of retailer Kmart's Joe Boxer holiday ad.
GMCLA Scores Once More with Annual Christmas Concert

GMCLA (Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles) annually present the best holiday concert in town. Honoring both Chanukah and Christmas, this year's show entitled Naughty & Nice was most definitely more nice than naughty with special guest artist Melissa Manchester at the top of her form. There were most definitely fun shenanigans though in the mildly naughty department. Take for example the off-center'Chanukah in Santa Monica', the raucous stomp number 'Christmas This Year' closing the first half, and those Malibu Monks doing their unbelievably dextrous thing by turning over those lyric cards with split-second timing on the 'Hallelujah Chorus' (see photo below).
Gay Men's Chorus of LA Sings for 'It Get's Better'

The critically acclaimed Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) - a leading artistic force, staunch advocate of civil and human rights, and the first gay men's choir to perform for a sitting president (Bill Clinton) - has harnessed the power of music to create a moving anti-bullying music video message featuring Cyndi Lauper's inspiring anthem 'True Colors' for the Internet's 'It Gets Better' project aimed at LGBT youth. More than 200 people of all ages and ethnic backgrounds from across the Southland - gay and straight - participated in the ambitious five-minute video, which was filmed in the gymnasium of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Los Angeles and further establishes GMCLA as a leading force promoting equality and acceptance. The video can be viewed at both the It Gets Better and GMCLA websites:
Photo Coverage: Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles' Baz Luhrmann Tribute

Magnificent! Brilliant! Bravo! Just some of the accolades heard from the audience at the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles' masterful production, worthy of the Great White Way, of 'L'Amour' - music from the movies of Baz Luhrmann.
