KNIGHTS OF THE ROSE Announces First Casting
Romance of the Rose Productions announces the first casting for the new West End musical Knights of the Rose. Directed by Racky Plews and created by Jennifer Marsden, Knights of the Rose opens on 29th June for 9 weeks only at The Arts Theatre. Leading the noble Knights is Adam Pearce (King Aethelstan) who is joined by Chris Cowley (Palamon), Oliver Saville (Hugo), Rebecca Bainbridge (Queen Matilda / Bess), Rebekah Lowings (Isabel), Matt Thorpe (Horatio), Ruben Van keer (John), Katie Birtill (Hannah) and Bleu Woodward (Emily). Ian Gareth-Jones, Kelly Hampson and Tom Bales make up the ensemble.
New Wolsey Theatre Sets Cast of THE LAST FIVE YEARS
As part of their 15th Birthday celebrations, the New Wolsey Theatre have today announced their cast of their upcoming production of The Last Five Years, directed by Artistic Director Peter Rowe, running from Thursday 25 February to Friday 11 March.

BWW Reviews: Frankfurt ist im SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
Denkt man an Saturday Night Fever, assoziieren damit wohl viele zuerst John Travolta, die bekannten Hits der BeeGees und vor allem jede Menge Spaß und Diskoflair. Die Show hat aber viel mehr zu bieten. Vor allem aber ist sie viel dunkler und tiefgrundiger. Unverblumt zeigt Satuday Night Fever die Probleme und Sorger jener Zeit, die aber gleichzeitig universell gultig sein: Arbeitslosigkeit, Armut, Drogenmissbrauch, Vergewaltigung, Selbstmord. Die Geschichte erzahlt von jungen Menschen, solchen die Traume haben aber nicht wissen was diese genau sind oder wie sie erreichen sollen, und solchen die ihre langst verloren haben. Die Hauptfigur des Tony ist alles andere als ein Held, sondern viel mehr eine Figur mit Schwachen und Vorurteilen. Dann aber gibt es jene Szene in die Disko, in denen die Charaktere, und das Publikum mit ihnen, die Sorgen vergessen und sich von der heiteren Musik davontragen lassen.
