54 Below will present THE WISE WOMEN Musical Showcase October 29, 2024, 9:30pm. Defying and overcoming prejudice, in a story based on the lives of the composer’s real-life ancestors, the musical tells the story of Winifred Holman and her daughters using the magic and natural resources of the earth to heal and bless their community in 16th century Salem, Massachusetts. BROADWAY'S FUTURE SONGBOOK Will Spotlight Anessa Marie
The Broadway's Future Songbook Series - produced, directed, and hosted by John Znidarsic - continues its 2022 season on Monday, March 28th at 6PM. The free evening will spotlight the songs of acclaimed composer/lyricist Anessa Marie. This special concert will be held in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

THE CROSSING Will Host A Site-Specific Presentation At The Washington Crossing Park On The Delaware River
The new musical, The Crossing and the Ten Crucial Days, will present an industry reading at the Washington Crossing Park on the Delaware River in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where the titular crossing took place. Directed by Gabriel Vega Weissman (Titus Burgess in Concert), with book and lyrics by Jason Huza (It Happened in Key West) and music by John Allen Watts, the reading will take place on September 5th, 2019. With support from The Washington Crossing Park, The Ten Crucial Days Organization, and the Crossing Vineyards, the site-specific musical presentation is drawing on the local roots.

Spearheaded by a female-driven production team, Lysistrata tells the tale of a determined cheerleader who leads the students around her in a battle of the sexes. With a rocking score written by Lewis Flinn and book by five-time Tony nominee Douglas Carter Beane, the show will be an immersive experience performed on a faux basketball court at the back of the Variety Boys and Girls Club in Queens. In the first production in New York since its Broadway run, Ophelia Theatre is thrilled to be giving a new feminist life to this baller cult classic! We guarantee laughs, romance and basketballs, lots of basketballs!
