Rashad McPherson Comes to 54 Below
54 BELOW, Broadway’s Supper Club, presents Rashad McPherson in Songs for the Summer, a night of feel-good tunes curated for the season on Tuesday, May 30 at 9:30 p.m. He will be joined by talented special guests, including Tony Award nominee NaTasha Yvette Williams, Grammy nominee J. Hoard, and Stomp star Aaron Marcellus.

Auditions For 2010 Globe Honors Competition Set for May 1
Recognizing excellence in High School theater, auditions for the 2010 Globe Honors competition will take place on May 1 at The Old Globe. Semifinalists and finalists will perform on the Old Globe Stage on May 17 at 8:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with the announcement of the Globe Honors winners and an award ceremony. Winners of the annual competition will receive scholarships and the Leading Actor and Actress winners will receive an all expenses paid trip to New York City to compete in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (NHSMTA) to be held June 28 at the Palace Theatre on Broadway.

Lou Spisto, Executive Producer of the Tony Award®-winning Old Globe, is pleased to announce the winners of Globe Honors, the awards program for high school students that rewards excellence in theatre performance. Students from over 30 schools competed for the honor to represent San Diego in New York City for the National High School Musical Theatre-awards, June 25-29, 2009.
