Eight EdFest Venues Comment on Soaring Accommodation Costs
The eight major producing venues behind EdFest.com – which comprise Assembly, Dance Base, Gilded Balloon, Just the Tonic, Pleasance, Summerhall, Underbelly and ZOO – collectively commented that soaring accommodation costs are the biggest risk to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe’s future.

Hightide Announces Clare Slater As New Artistic Director
The trustees of HighTide announced that they have appointed Clare Slater, currently Head of New Work at the Donmar Warehouse as the next Artistic Director of HighTide. She will lead the company alongside Executive Director Rowan Rutter as joint Chief Executives. Clare takes over from Suba Das, former Artistic Director and Chief Executive of HighTide.

It has been rebuilt brick by brick by both the Assembly team and production company Berk's Nest especially for Diane's eagerly anticipated return to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2019. This iconic, 80s haunt, planted in the heart of Edinburgh, will serve as a purpose built, immersive venue throughout the festival, for both Diane's daily show Modern Love, which runs from 1st to 25th August at 20:00, and her late night weekend show Down The Flick which runs 2nd a?" 25th August at 23:00.
