Independent Writers Lab Announces Reading Series at the Fountain Theatre

American Theatre's brightest young voices are part of the newly formed Independent Writers Lab, which will be hosting a reading series of four new plays at The Fountain Theatre December 3 - 5, 2019. The series will feature readings of original works from playwrights Carla Ching (Nomad Motel, Atlantic Theater Company), Bernardo Cubria (The Giant Void In My Soul, Ammunition Theater Company), Joy Gregory (The Shaggs, Playwrights Horizons), and Charlotte Miller (Thieves, Rising Phoenix Rep/Rattlestick).

Charlotte Miller's RAISING JO Set to Open June 5th at Theatre Row

Charlotte Miller's Raising Jo will receive a workshop production June 5th-10th at the Studio Theater at Theater Row. Directed by Julie Kline, the cast will feature Sarah Jes Austell (Showtime's Sweetbitter ), Chris Bellant ( Loserville ), Charlotte Graham (ART's The Tempest ), Anna Holbrook (Daytime Emmy Winner, Another World ) and Steve Payne (Albee's Me, Myself & I ). Waldorf Entertainment and Yuriy Pavlish are producing.

The Arctic Group has commissioned playwright Daniel Talbott (Slipping and Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, America, Kuwait) to write a new short play that will be performed on a double bill with Steve McMahon's Sad Indie Love Song in Series B of their inaugural FRIDGE Festival. The festival runs August 31 - September 10, and Series B will play Thu 8/31 at 9pm, Sun 9/3 at 7pm, Wed 9/6 9pm, and Sat 9/9 at 7pm.
