TD Bank and First Book Provide Books for Children in Need
CHERRY HILL, N.J., April 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ TD Bank, America's Most Convenient Bank and First Book a nonprofit organization that provides new books to children in underserved communities have partnered to provide children in kindergarten to second grade access to age-appropriate books at home and in their schools through a new program, Banking On Books. TD Bank has committed to supporting this program by providing a $125,000 donation to the nonprofit.

Ridgefield Theater Barn Hosts THE FABLE OF THE MAN AND THE LION, 1/29
As a combined commemoration of the 150th anniversaries of the Civil War and Black History Month, The Ridgefield Theater Barn is presenting a premier reading of an original play about Frederick Douglass' life and the events related to the abolition of slavery. "The Fable of the Man and the Lion" is a new work by a South Salem playwright, Myles Gansfried, whose plays you may have seen at local theaters.
