CINDERELLA Runs at the Royal Ballet This Holiday Season
This Christmas, The Royal Ballet invites you to the ball with Frederick Ashton’s spectacular Cinderella. More specifically, however, some of Broadway's most delightful shows have come straight from even more humble origins- fairytales! Once Upon a Mattress is offically back on Broadway and to celebrate, you can study up on even more musicals with a happily ever after.
A&A Ballet Performs CINDERELLA Next Month
Cindrella returns to the Chicago stage for the first time in six years. This unique performance and take on the fairy tale is colorful, bright and fun, and features Asian American Tatiana Chen (Naperville) as Cinderella and welcomes A&A Ballet and Joffrey Ballet veteran, Amber Neumann, back as Stepmother.
Opera CENDRILLON (Cinderela), by Pauline Viardot, Opens at Theatro São Pedro
The opera will be presented in Portuguese and will feature black artists, such as soprano Marly Montoni and tenors Jean William and Mar Oliveira among the main characters; with Priscila Bomfim in the musical direction and Julianna Santos in the scenic direction. In celebration of Children's Day, there will be a performance on October 12th, at 5pm.

'Into the Woods' is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. The musical intertwines the plots of several Brothers Grimm and Charles Perrault fairy tales, exploring the consequences of the characters’ wishes and quests. The main characters are taken from “Little Red Riding Hood“, “Jack and the Beanstalk”, “Rapunzel”, and “Cinderella”, as well as several others. The musical is tied together by a story involving a childless baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, their interaction with a witch who has cursed them, and their journey into the woods.
