Queensbury Theatre, 12777 Queensbury Lane, Houston, TX 77024 is proud to present It Ain't Nothin' but the Blues, a sizzling musical revue that traces the history of blues music with more than three dozen songs. The eight member cast and incredible onstage band create the atmosphere of a blues club during a musical journey from Africa to Mississippi to Memphis to Chicago. CCNY Launches New Haarlem Arts Theatre; First Up, BLUES FOR MISTER CHARLIE
The City College of New York (CCNY) and its Department of Theatre and Speech are launching the New Haarlem Arts Theatre (NHAT), a new professional theater company in residence at Aaron Davis Hall, which will produce its first season in the summer of 2011. The objective is to establish a professional theater uptown that will rank among the best in the country and to produce bold theatrical works that express the true history, culture, and diversity of America.

Evans announce the World Premiere of Low Down Dirty Blues, by Randal Myler and Dan Wheetman, the creators of It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues and Fire on the Mountain. The production will feature Tony Award nominee Felicia P. Fields (The Color Purple) in her first role in Chicago since The Color Purple and two-time Jeff Award-winner Mississippi Charles Bevel. The production will be directed by Randal Myler with musical direction by Dan Wheetman. Low Down Dirty Blues runs May 27 - July 3, 2010 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie. The press opening is Saturday, June 5, 2010.
