The 24 Hour Plays: Viral Monologues will return for tonight on Instagram @24hourplays. A bold group of top actors and writers have been paired to create a set of all-new pieces. From 6 PM onward, the new monologues will be published, one every 15 minutes.

Morgan Lloyd Malcolm penned the now three-time Olivier Award-winning play, Emilia, which tells her story. It premiered at Shakespeare’s Globe in 2018 under the direction of Nicole Charles. The production then transferred to the West End and played the Vaudeville Theatre in 2019. An archive recording of the West End run is currently available to stream on a pay-what-you-can basis until 24 November.

Hulu has renewed The Great, from Tony McNamara (THE FAVOURITE), for a 10-episode, second season. The first season debuted on Hulu on Friday, May 15.

The much-anticipated series from Oscar-nominated writer Tony McNamara (THE FAVOURITE), The Great debuts on Hulu on Friday, May 15. The comedy series chronicles the genre-bending, anti-historical ride through 18th Century Russia and follows the wildly comedic rise of Catherine the Nothing to Catherine the Great.  The series stars Elle Fanning as Catherine, Nicholas Hoult, Phoebe Fox, Adam Godley, Gwilym Lee, Charity Wakefield, Douglas Hodge and Sacha Shawan.

The play charts the life of Emilia Bassano, the poet, mother and feminist who is thought to have inspired the 'Dark Lady' in Shakespeare's sonnets as well as the Emilia characters who appear in Othello, The Two Noble Kinsmen, The Winter's Tale and The Comedy of Errors. Emilia continues to thread her way through each of the plays in which she appears this summer season, excepting Emilia the Abbess in The Comedy of Errors.

Stars Unite for Refugees in Urgent Hollywood Gala

On March 16th at the Masonic Lodge in the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, a host of British stars will gather to read extracts from Shakespeare's plays in response to real life refugee video stories. All profits go to the United Nations Refugee Agency, UNHCR.
