BIO

Chicago company of The Book of Mormon. Favorite Regional Credits: Kala (Tarzan), Sour Kangaroo (Seussical), Sarah (Ragtime), Cindy (Hairspray). Indianapolis Native, FSU graduate, owner Music Dance Theatre Workshops. Proud Equity. MDT WORKSHOPS: Cessalee Stovall leads the staff of talented and experienced teachers! She is originally from Indianapolis and is very proud to bring a decade of performing and teaching back to the Crossroads of America! Ms. Stovall is an accomplished musical theatre performer, director, teacher and choreographer. She has performed across the country in myriad regional theatres, on tours, and aboard cruise ships! Cessalee is VERY excited to join the cast of Broadway hit The Book of Mormon in November. Most recently, Cessalee played Kala in the regional premier of Disney's Tarzan at Tuacahn Amphitheatre. Before relocating to Utah, Cessalee lived in Chicago where she created a dance program for the Northbrook Park District. There she choreographed 5 shows a year for the Northbrook Theatre for Young Audiences and taught ages 3-16. In Indianapolis, she served as a competition choreographer for the Indiana Dance Ambassadors. In addition to working with young actors, Ms. Stovall has had a great deal of experience creating Theatre for Young Audiences. She has directed and choreographed for GMT Theatre, an award winning company dedicated to producing touring, educational, professional theatre for children. Cessalee is also a licensed secondary education teacher and has taught up to 60 students at one time!

$40 Lottery Ticket Policy Announced for THE BOOK OF MORMON

The Book of Mormon today announces a ticket lottery, in which a limited number of tickets will be sold by ballot for $40 each on the day of the performance. The show's ticket lottery policy began with the Broadway production, and has continued for all subsequent productions, which include two US National Tours and London's West End. The Book of Mormon is currently in previews at the Princess Theatre. Opening night is Saturday 4 February.

The Second National Tour of THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, broke the house record in its first week of performances at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe). The show grossed $1,493,961 for the week ending December 16. THE BOOK OF MORMON began performances on December 11, 2012, with performances now extended through September 8, 2013.
THE BOOK OF MORMON Extends Chicago Run Through 9/8

Broadway In Chicago and the producers of the new musical THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, announced today that tickets will be available for 14 additional weeks of performances of THE BOOK OF MORMON at the Bank of America Theatre (18 West Monroe). A new block of tickets for performances June 4 - September 8, 2013 will go on-sale to the public on Monday, January 7 at 10 a.m. Tickets are sold out through March 3, 2013, with some tickets still available March 5 - June 2, 2013.
