The winners have been announced for the 2022 BroadwayWorld Sarasota Awards, honoring the best in regional productions, touring shows, and more which had their first performance between October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022. This year's awards include a posthumous honor for Director Frank Galati, for his work on Knoxville.

Asolo Rep's Ground Floor Presents A Staged Reading Of THE PARADOX OF EDUCATION

Asolo Repertory Theatre's new work development program, Ground Floor, will present a staged reading of Ty Greenwood's play The Paradox of Education on Monday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m., in the Cook Theatre at the FSU Center for the Performing Arts. A donation of $5 is suggested, and proceeds will assist the Ground Floor program in supporting new and local artists.

Asolo Repertory Theatre announces a new series to commission three plays by BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) playwrights and directors over the next three years. The Muriel O’Neil American Heritage Commission Series, made possible by a generous $75,000 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, is part of the Ground Floor program, a new work development initiative at Asolo Rep.
