BWW Interview: WordTheatre's Cedering Fox Blending Heart-Felt Prose With Beautiful Music
The Grammy Museum will be hosting NOTES ON LIVING: ALL-STAR JAZZ WITH TALES BY BRIAN DOYLE May 14, 2019 as a joint benefit for WordTheatre in the Schools (WITS) and the Grammy Museum. WordTheatre's artistic director Cedering Fox will be producing and directing this evening of selected stories by award-winning author Brian Doyle, read by a star-studded cast, and accompanied by an all-star jazz band led by Starr Parodi. Cedering opened up some of her early evening time to speak to me.

Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Shallow Grave, Elizabeth, Thor), Emma Hamilton (The Tudors, The Musketeers, Mr Selfridge) and Nikki-Amuka Bird (Luther, Quarry, Survivors) open Southbank Centre's 10th London Literature Festival on Wednesday 5 October with a live reading of HG Wells's classic work, The Time Machine, on stage in front of Royal Festival Hall's world-famous organ.

St. James Studio Sets EFG London Jazz Festival Events
The St. James Studio is delighted to announce 16 events taking place over ten days in November as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2015. The St. James has been involved with the festival every year since the studio opened in October 2012, each year presenting more events than the last. Staged Reading of Anton Chekhov's Suspense Stories Presented 3/4 at the cell
I Was Drunk That Day is an exploratory (staged) reading of several early crime and suspense stories by Anton Chekhov including 'Conversation of a Drunken Man with a Sober Devil', 'Evildoer', and 'The Wallet'. Assembled, adapted and directed by Darrell Larson, most of the featured stories translated into English for the first time - just last year.

Gould, Grier, et al. Join Cumming in SOME MEN Reading
The upcoming Los Angeles reading of SOME MEN will inlude performances by Matt Gould, David Alan Grier, Justin Kirk and Jeffrey Tambor. As reported previously, Alan Cumming, John Glover, Luke MacFarlane, and Jason Ritter are also set for the production.
