Lily Houghton's OF THE WOMAN... Extends Through October 26th
Due to popular demand Normal Ave and Leigh Honigman will extend performances for their World Premiere of Of the Woman Came the Beginning of Sin and Through Her We All Die, written by Lily Houghton and directed by Kylie M. Brown at Normal Ave's Medicine Show Theatre (549 W 52nd St, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10019). Additional performances will be on Thursday, October 24 at 8pm, Friday, October 25 at 8pm, and Saturday, October 26 at 8pm. Previously announced performances will be on Thursday, October 17 at 8pm, Friday, October 18 at 8pm, Saturday, October 19 at 8pm, and Sunday, October 20 at 3pm. Tickets ($20-$30) are available for advance purchase at www.normalave.org/ofthewoman. The performance runs approximately 90 minutes, with no intermission.

The Playwrights Foundation, a launchpad for exceptional plays and playwrights announces the lineup for the 2018 Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) running July 20-29, 2018. The six Playwrights were selected from more than 700 submissions nationally, 85% from outside the bay area, from more than 2 dozen states and Canada - coast to coast a very North American cohort.

The Artistic Teams for #BAPF2018 features Directors Erik Pearson, Christine Young, Margo Hall, Daniel Banks, Lauren English, and Ken Savage. Dramaturgs joining the teams include Alex Mallory, Maddie Gaw, Lisa Evans, Vidhu Singh, Roweena Mackay, and the Legendary Nakissa Etemad.

The 2018 Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) features SUSPENSION by Kristiana Rae Colon, HOUSE OF JOY by Madhuri Shekar, VRTU-L by T.D. Mitchell, WHEN LIGHTING THE VOIDS by Jon Bernson, COLONIALISM IS TERRIBLE, BUT PHO IS DELICIOUS by Dustin Chinn and THE DAUGHTERS by Patricia Cotter. A nationally recognised launchpad for exceptional plays and playwrights the Festival features twelve staged readings, offers a Theater Professionals weekend 7/27-29, with special events and a kick-off fundraiser on 7/15. ENDANGERED! THE MUSICAL Will Close December 30
After a successful six month run at the Davenport Theatre (354 West 45th Street), ENDANGERED! THE MUSICAL will close it's off-Broadway engagement. The hit family musical, which opened to rave reviews on July 23rd, 2017, will play it's final performance on Saturday, December 30th, 2017 at 3pm. Upon closing, the new musical by Keni Fine and Tony Small will have played 7 previews and 68 performances, as well as hosting the live-streamed Endangered Climate Talkback Series.
