WCT DANCE Celebrates Movement and Meaning This Month
Celebrating the beauty of dance and physical communication, WCT DANCE presents a collage of dance pieces, each with something different to say. Performances will take place on October 17, 18, and 19 at 8:00 PM, and October 19 and 20 at 2:00 PM in the Main Hall Theatre on Wagner's Staten Island campus.
Wagner College Dance Performs MORSO D'AMORE in Stage One
MORSO D'AMORE, a ballet powerful for its use of confrontation and subterfuge, is the culmination of a month-long opportunity for a select group of students to work with Caterina Rago, investigating the cultural and social aspects of the Italian phenomenon known as Tantarism.

Internationally celebrated percussionist/singer Alessandra Belloni, joined by her performance troupe I Giullari di Piazza, will return June 29 to Cathedral of St. John the Divine for a June 29th, 8 PM, performance of with 'TARANTATA - SPIDER DANCE,' an ancient healing tradition with Tarantella trance dances and healing chants for the Black Madonna.

The Deborah Zall Project will present a program of works by legendary modern dance choreographers Jane Dudley, Sophie Maslow and Anna Sokolow, along with dances by Deborah Zall, May 12 & 13 at 8 PM at the Martha Graham Studio Theater, 55 Bethune St. Zall has gathered an ensemble of artists, all former members of the Martha Graham Dance Company, to perform these timeless works that have been reconstructed by Abigail Blatt, Lynn Frielinghaus, Samantha Geracht, Martin Lofsnes, and Zall.
BWW Dance Interview: Angelo Silvio Vasta
Angelo Silvio Vasta is a New York-based filmmaker from Milan, Italy. His work explores the infinite ways choreography and performance can be expressed through moving images. In the past years he has produced a series of short dance films for dance companies and individual dancers both in New York City and abroad. His work includes music videos, short films, video-portraits, and promotional clips. In 2014 he was awarded for his excellence in Visual Design at the 35th Fine Cuts Film Show at The New School in NYC. Angelo received his BFA in International Politics from University of Milan, Italy and his Certificate in Film Production from The New School.

New York Live Arts hummed with anticipation on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the premiere of Caterina Rago Dance Company's three-day run of Labir Into. In a bare, nondescript theater, the responsibility fell upon the company to dazzle, to make the space more than just four walls and a stage floor. Not only did they achieve this, but they transcended limitation, taking the audience on a thrilling journey.
