Towne Street Theatre Presents 'TWAS THE FLIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Towne Street Theatre (TST) celebrates the holiday season with a new, musically-merry comedy! The TST workshop production of 'Twas The Flight Before Christmas will be presented one night only - Saturday, December 14th at 8:00 pm at the Stella Adler Theatre (where TST is in residence), located at 6773 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028.

May 18th, May 19th, May 21st & May 26th, The Vagrancy announces BLOSSOMING: a new play reading series. The Vagrancy annually selects six playwrights with diverse perspectives to join their playwright's group. Beginning each fall, the writers meet regularly as they craft their plays. The Vagrancy hosts two development workshops wherein the plays are explored with the playwright, actors and a director in a rehearsal setting. BLOSSOMING is the first public reaching of the six original plays. Come be inspired, have a glass of wine, and help the play's development along with post-reading audience talk-backs.

It might not be great art, but Xanadu-the new musical onstage through March 3 at Franklin's Boiler Room Theatre-sure is great fun! Pure, unadulterated escapism, Xanadu is laugh-out-loud funny, thanks primarily to the book by Douglas Carter Beane, but you have to give props to director Corbin Green and his talented cast who bring the completely ridiculous musical (featuring the music of Electric Light Orchestra's Jeff Lynne and John Farrar) to life onstage.
