Cleveland Public Theatre Launches 7 New Works By Ohio And National Artists With TEST FLIGHT 2018
Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce the Test Flight 2018 series. Test Flight is a multi-week series that showcases new work on its way to full production, providing both local and national artists with the keys to the theatre and the opportunity to co-produce original works-in-progress. Test Flight encourages risk-taking and an entrepreneurial spirit towards creating new work while offering artists a structured support system, activating an art-focused environment. CPT's New Play Development Program is intended to move projects forward, whether through full productions at CPT, receiving larger exposure, or participating in touring performances or Fringe Festivals.

Cleveland Public Theatre (CPT) is proud to announce CPT's fourth annual Station Hope event on Saturday, April 29th, from 6:30 - 10:00pm on the grounds of St. John's Episcopal Church, 2600 Church Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio. Station Hope is a jubilant community event that celebrates Cleveland's social justice heritage and explores contemporary struggles for freedom and equity. Engage with over 250 artists and 50+ community and professional arts & culture organizations from across Northeast Ohio as they envision, interrogate and seek out hope on the grounds of Cleveland's first authenticated Underground Railroad site, St. John's Episcopal Church. Audiences explore the historic properties while viewing works of theatre, music, storytelling and dance inspired by the most important issues of our time. Station Hope is free, family-friendly and open to all.

During that time the audience is exposed to all of the United States of America's Presidents. Well, to be honest, there are 45 plays...one, based on the audience vote, an add-on vignette of a supposition about either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump's reign as the next President.

The CPT production is co-directed by Dan Kilbane and Caitlin Lewins. 44 Plays by 44 Presidents is onstage October 6 through 29th in CPT's James Levin Theatre.
2 BROKE GIRLS Star Beth Behrs Will Make NYC Stage Debut in MCC's 'A FUNNY THING...'
MCC THEATER has announced that Beth Behrs, the star of CBS's '2 Broke Girls,' will lead the cast of the world premiere of Halley Feiffer's comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City. Behrs will be joined by Obie winner Lisa Emery, most recently seen on the hit Netflix drama 'Jessica Jones,' as well as stage veteran Jacqueline Sydney. Additional casting will be announced at a later date. Obie winner Trip Cullman directs the production which begins previews on May 19, 2016 ahead of a June 7, 2016 opening night.
