Teatro Audaz will present its first-ever mainstage musical of Mariachi Girl, an uplifting bilingual production about reaching one’s dreams. Just in time for Fiesta, the production will feature live Mariachi music for every performance, from March 4-13, by San Antonio’s popular Mariachi Azteca de América.

Art Institute Of Chicago Presents John Singer Sargent And Chicago's Gilded Age
From July 1 through September 30, 2018, the Art Institute of Chicago will present an exhibition of American portraitist John Singer Sargent with a focus on his numerous Chicago connections. Featuring nearly 100 objects from the Art Institute's collection, private collections, and public institutions, John Singer Sargent and Chicago's Gilded Age examines Sargent's impressive breadth of artistic practice and the network of associations among the artist, his patrons, his creative circle, and the city. Through the lens of Sargent's work, this exhibition explores the cultural ambitions of Chicagoans to shape the city into a center of art, the development of an international profile for American artists, and the interplay of traditionalism and modernism at the turn of the 20th century.

National Portrait Gallery to Display SARGENT Exhibition, 2/12
A major exhibition of works by one of the world's most celebrated portrait painters, John Singer Sargent, opens at the National Portrait Gallery tomorrow (Thursday 12 February 2015). Organised in collaboration with The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the exhibition brings together, for the first time, a collection of the artist's intimate and informal portraits of his impressive circle of friends, including Robert Louis Stevenson, Claude Monet and Auguste Rodin.
