Carly Callahan

This past summer, Carly directed and performed in Playhouse on the Shore, a cabaret series presented by Ivoryton Playhouse. Also, this past summer, Carly was seen in Opera Theater of Connecticut’s production of Madama Butterfly as Kate Pinkerton. She also played the role of Lady Capulet in their spring production of Romeo & Juliet, In Verse & Music and Sally in their 2015 production of Die Fledermaus. Other recent favorite roles include Evita (Eva Peron), A Little Night Music (Desiree Armfeldt), and Macbeth (Witch). Her musical theater credits include the national tour of Victor Victoria and Magdalena at Lincoln Center. Regional credits include You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Sally), A Perfect Wedding (Rachel) and Mikado (Pitti-Sing) at Cortland Repertory Theatre. Other favorites include the role of Gussie in the Edinburgh production of Merrily We Roll Along. Carly has also recently performed in concerts for Opera Theater of Connecticut (The Best of Rodgers and Hammerstein) and Hartford Opera Theater (That’s Amore). She is a graduate of Brown University, and studied classical voice at the Manhattan School of Music and monologue/scene study with the New England Actors Theater. Carly can next be seen as Carlotta in Bridgeport Downtown Cabaret Theater’s production of Yeston’s Phantom, opening next month.
