BWW Review: Syracuse City Ballet's Annual Tradition of THE NUTCRACKER at Crouse Hinds Theater
This past weekend the Syracuse City Ballet, the only professional ballet company serving the Central New York community, presented its annual festive and heartwarming production of The Nutcracker astutely directed and choreographed by Syracuse City Ballet founding Artistic Director Kathleen Rathbun. The talented dancers performed to the familiar music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, lighting up the stage at the Crouse Hinds Theater creating lasting memories and carrying on tradition for many Central New Yorkers.

The Syracuse City Ballet, the only professional ballet serving the Central New York community, brought the enchanting ballet of Aladdin to life this past weekend at Crouse Hinds Theater in Syracuse, New York. The production was directed and choreographed by founding artistic director Kathleen Rathbun and it once again brought down the house. Like all Syracuse City Ballet productions, this one provided a wonderful opportunity for local professional, pre-professional, and student dancers to perform alongside national and international guest artists.
NYFOS Next Festival of New Songs Launches Today
New York Festival of Song's contemporary song series NYFOS Next -- dubbed 'invaluable' by The New Yorker and The New York Times -- enters its sixth season and continues its new format: a three-concert February mini-festival in the intimate state-of-the-art recital hall at OPERA America's National Opera Center. The Thursday concerts take place today, February 4, as well as February 11, and 18, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.

Noche Flamenca to Present ANTIGONA, 7/13-8/8
Soledad Barrio, Noche Flamenca's celebrated lead dancer and choreographer, brings her usual fire to the role of Antigone, the classical Greek heroine. Daughter of Oedipus and sister of the shunned Polyneices, Antigone follows her heart and defies Creon by burying her brother. Sentenced to death, Antigone then kills herself. Director George C. Wolfe in The New York Times has declared the company "brilliant," and said that "Soledad is a once-in-a-lifetime performer who combines overwhelming physicality and spirituality."
Draco Rosa and Ricky Martin Reunite to Film Video for Single 'Más y Más'
'Más y Más' is the first collaboration in over ten years from multi-platinum friends and former Menudo band mates, Ricky Martin and Draco Rosa. This also marks the first time they have sung on the same track as solo artists. 'Más y Más' is the just-released advance single from Draco Rosa's highly anticipated new album 'Vida', set for release on March 19.
