Marking its return to the indoor stage for the first time in more than two years, Tom Gold Dance will present its annual spring season, featuring World and New York City Premieres from Tom Gold Dance Founder and Director Tom Gold, Wednesday, April 13 and Thursday, April 14, 2022 at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College. Tom Gold Dance Concludes 2019 Spring Season
Tom Gold Dance, the classical dance company founded and led by former New York City Ballet soloist Tom Gold, concluded its annual spring season with the second of two performances of Gold's Significant Strangers (World Premiere), Blind Revelry (New York City Premiere, 2018), and Counterpoint (revival, 2017), Thursday, April 4 at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College.
Carl Sprague To Design Set For New York City Premiere Of Tom Gold's BLIND REVELRY
Art Directors Guild award-nominated designer and illustrator Carl Sprague will design the set to Tom Gold's Blind Revelry (2018), which will have its New York City Premiere during the 2019 spring season of Tom Gold Dance, Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4, at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College. Also on the Company's annual spring program are Gold's Significant Strangers (World Premiere) and a revival of his Counterpoint (2017).
The McCallum Theatre Presents Moscow Ballet's GREAT RUSSIAN NUTCRACKER
The McCallum Theatre presents Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcrackeron Monday, December 17, at 7:00pm. All ages are invited to celebrate Christmas with the Moscow Ballet company of almost 40 ballerinas and danseurs. Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker is known for its award-winning principal dancers, lavish costumes in the style of the Victorian era, backdrops created by La La Land Set Concept designer Carl Sprague, and its Russian focus, including life-sized Matryoshka Dolls, Russian folk legends Ded Moroz (Father Christmas) and Snegurochka (Snow Maiden) and Troika Sleigh. Adults and children will enjoy the special effects of the flapping winged owl on the Grandfather clock, the growing 50' tall Christmas Tree, the Dove of Peace with a 20' wingspan, and, of course, the leaps, spins, and extraordinary moves of the company all performed to Tchaikovsky's complete and incomparable score.

Moscow Ballet Announces 25th Anniversary Tour of Great Russian Nutcracker Coast to Coast Across North America
The one and only Moscow Ballet Great Russian Nutcracker and classic Swan Lake celebrate 25 years of touring North America bringing world renowned Russian ballets and artists to audiences in cities and towns, large and small. The “2017 Peace and Puppets Tour” features Moscow Ballet's singular “Dove of Peace” character, created by 2 dancers moving as one bird, which opens Act II's “Land of Peace and Harmony.” (not the traditional “Land of Sweets”) This production also includes the use of small puppets in Act I's Party Scene and whimsical 10 foot tall puppets in Act II's Variations. The Moscow Ballet version of the 5 Variations represent the major heritages of the world: Hispanic, African, European, Asian and Slavic/Russian living in peace and harmony.
