Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company continues their digital 2021-2022 season with the fourth installment of our reading series, FEMFEST HOUSTON, a series that focuses on new plays by women. FEMFEST HOUSTON:VIRUS EDITION will be streamed one at a time between May 24 and June 24, 2021. Tickets are free, with a donation appreciated.
The Pemberley Plays Are Back via Zoom with Main Street Theater
This December Main Street Theater is bringing back the holiday favorites Miss Bennet and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley via live, staged readings on Zoom. Main Street has been offering the Pemberley plays - based on Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice and written by acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon - for the last few seasons.

The Diary of Anne Frank is so impactful because it speaks to young people who will be the voice of our future and adults who have the power to create change immediately. Anne, while enduring unbearable abuse, spoke of love and hope for the future. By producing Anne Frank, we hope to instill a desire for others to be courageous, speak out and stand up against discrimination and hate.a?? The production will run Sundays, January 26, February 9 & 16 at 2:30pm and February 9 at 7:00pm at MST's Midtown location, 3400 Main St. in Matchbox4. Their relationship becomes complicated by her romantic involvement with another man of the sea and her unveiling of her troubled past.
