Harlem Stage Kicks Off 40th Anniversary with 2023 Gala
Harlem Stage holds its 2023 gala on June 5. Taking place at the landmark Harlem Stage Gatehouse (150 Convent Avenue), the event kicks off the organization’s year-long 40th anniversary celebration, which will feature performances from many of the celebrated artists whose careers the organization has helped to launch, and will provide a platform for today’s most compelling emerging artists to break through.
Swizz Beatz, TK Wonder, and Larry Ossei-Mensah Join 2019 Bronx Gala Program
The Bronx Museum of the Arts is pleased to announce that Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean, TK Wonder, and Larry Ossei-Mensah have been added to the program lineup for the 2019 Bronx Gala. The evening will be emceed by MOCAD senior curator and Bronx native Larry Ossei-Mensah, and will feature an intimate dinner, an art auction, and two special performances by musician and social activist TK Wonder, who has opened for Sting, Justice, and Erykah Badu, among others. The 2019 Bronx Gala will take place on Monday, April 8 at Capitale.

U.S. Pavilion at 55th International Art Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia, To Feature Work of Sarah Sze
The Bronx Museum of the Arts will present the work of Sarah Sze at the U.S. Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia, the 55th International Art Exhibition, on view from June through November 2013. Sze will create a sequence of constructed environments that will activate the Pavilion's architecture and extend beyond the building and into the courtyard-blurring perceptual boundaries between the site's interior and exterior.
