Carey Blackburn

Carey Blackburn is a senior in the BFA Musical Theatre program at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. This year she has performed Young Woman in Machinal and Sally in Reefer Madness at ECU, in addition to earlier roles such as Chloe in Arcadia and u/s Maureen in RENT. Carey spent the summer of 2016 as an Actor/Technician at William Ivey Long's The Lost Colony, understudying the role of Ms. Manteo as well as performing in Professional Theatre Workshops of Closer (Alice) and Pericles: Prince of Tyre (Dionyza) following the nightly outdoor shows. She worked as an improv character actress at Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH in the summer of 2015, and picked up a handful of impressive hula hoop tricks in the process. Carey recently founded Triple Threat Fitness, a blog to provide actors with resources to live a healthy lifestyle specific to the schedule of performers. She enjoys writing, cooking, and religiously watching Supergirl. Carey is looking forward to graduation and performing without having textbooks in the dressing room!
