Cara Kem

Cara was born and raised in Oklahoma, she grew up performing from the age of 3 and received her BS from University of Central Oklahoma. Her first professional job occurred at Music Theater of Wichita at the age of 13. She went on to work at Opryland USA, Lyric Theater of Oklahoma, Dutch Apple Dinner Theater, Millbrook Playhouse, Broadway Palm Dinner Theater and the Downtown Cabaret as well as having performed in three limited run shows in New York City. She spend two summers at the Broadway Theater Project working under the direction of Ann Reinking, where she had the privilege to work with acclaimed professionals as Gwen Vernon, Gregory Hines, and Stanley Donen, to name a few. She is most proud of getting to work on the ground floor in the world premier of High School Musical where she created the role of “Mrs Wilson”, the moderator, and originated the role of “Cyndra” as well as being in the ensemble. She went on to be a part of its’ original cast for the 1st national Broadway tour. Most recently Cara was seen as “Baby Bear” and “Blind Mouse” in 1st national tour of Shrek the Musical.
