Camila Vergasta is a recent graduate from the Integrated Program at the Americal Musical and Dramatic Academy. She was born in Brazil and started her music and dance training at a very young age. She studied Opera for 8 years with teachers from the Federal University of Bahia. Her musical theater training began in Casa de Artes Operária, in São Paulo, where she was part of productions such as Into the Woods (Baker's Wife), Jekyll and Hyde (Emma), Mamma Mia (Tanya), Chicago (Mona), Wizard of Oz (Wicked Witch of the West), Smokey Joe's Cafe and Ópera do Malandro (Teresinha). Her next step was coming to New York for deeper training in Musical Theater, which included teachers such as Caissie Levy and Marcia Milgrom Dodge. She is part of the permanent cast of Marquee Productions and performs every month in the cabaret show "Let's Broadway". She was recently in the musical "Occasion for Sin", which got 10 nominations at the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity. Her other credits include the cabaret shows "On the Spot" and "Seth's Talent Showcase" at Don't Tell Mama.
