Aviva Players Host 'Double Feature of Chamber Opera Films' Tonight
The Aviva Players, now in its 40th season, invites opera goers to travel into the past and future with its 'Double Feature of Chamber Opera Films' to be presented at Opera America, 330 Seventh Ave., Manhattan, tonight, November 4. The films are 'Villa Diodati' a screen version of Mira J. Spektor's opera about Mary Shelley and the origins of her Frankenstein story, and 'Libertaria: the Virtual Opera' by Sabrina Pena Young, a futuristic animated tale that may be the world's first original machinima opera and is certainly one of the few animated comic book operas.

Vital Theatre Company Presents THE BULLY
Vital Theatre Company will bring back THE BULLY, with music and lyrics by John Gregor, book by David L. Williams, and directed by Linda Ames Key. The show will run Saturdays and Sundays at 11am and 1pm beginning January 14th through February 26th, 2012, with weekday school holiday performances on January 16th and 27th and February 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd at 11am and 1pm. The show is appropriate for ages 4 -12. School/Group performances are available at Vital Theatre or your location
ALICE: A NEW MUSICAL Opens Wednesday, July 20
ALICE: A NEW MUSICAL, with book, music and lyrics by Andrew Barbato and Lesley DeSantis, will be presented as part of the 2011 Midtown International Theatre Festival. Performances will be July 20th at 8:00pm, July 23rd at 8:30pm, July 24th at 1:30pm and July 30th at 11:00am, at the June Havoc Theatre (part of the Abingdon Theatre Complex at 312 W 36th St). Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors.
