Acclaimed Mississippi Bluesman Cedric Burnside Releases New Album BENTON COUNTY RELIC
Today, award-winning Mississippi bluesman Cedric Burnside releases his album Benton County Relic. Burnside is the grandson of legendary blues musician R.L. Burnside and still lives close to the Holly Springs, Mississippi home where he was raised by R.L. His first show with his grandfather (affectionally known as 'Big Daddy') was at ten years old at a juke joint. He now carries the torch of bringing Hill Country Blues to the modern day.

The first single is the gritty track 'We Made It' a matter-of-fact recitation of his poverty-stricken childhood without running water, radio or TV ("I come from nothin'/I done been lower than low/I keep my head straight/No matter how low I go").
