A native of Alabama, he received his BFA in Theatre Performance from Auburn University then went on to perform for regional theatres across the country alongside some of Broadway's biggest names; he was a featured performer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in the early 90’s, then settled in Branson, MO in 1992 where he has shared the stage with such entertainers as, Tony Orlando, Yakov Smirnoff, Glen Campbell, Mickey Gilley, Johnny Lee, Jim Stafford, The Platters, Andy Williams, Collin Raye, and Bill Medley (of the Righteous Brothers).
Currently, he portrays the role of John Belushi/Jake Blues as part of a Blues Brothers tribute act for the worlds greatest live tribute show, “Legends in Concert”; at Dick Clarks American Bandstand Theatre. In 2005, he was honored with “The Branson Critic Award” for, Male Vocalist of the Year.
Bucky has done voice over work for numerous theatres and production companies and was heard across the country on radio/television jingles, including Branson's national promotional television ad, where he sang the classic Doobie Brother's hit, "Listen to the Music”.
For the past 17years, he has rocked the Branson night life with his 10 piece horn band, “The Horn Dawgs“. The group has been given rave revues in USA Today, The Washington Post, and 417 Magazine. Recently, they also had the pleasure of opening for legendary blues artist, B.B. King. The Horn Dawgs have been labeled a "must see" in Branson.
Finally, Bucky is the creator, writer and producer of an original children’s musical variety show called, “Rock U Mentally”, which recently premiered at Dick Clark’s American Bandstand Theatre for a two consecutive summer run! The show uses clever skits, fun original music, puppetry and larger than life mascots to teach kids about important social and environmental issues.
