Brynne McManimie is a Brooklyn-based actor, filmmaker and teaching artist. As an actor, she has worked in a variety of mediums. Off-Broadway: Othello (Classic Stage Company, 2016). TV: Harlem (2021), Elementary (2019), Bull (2017), The Mysteries of Laura (2015). Film: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble, 2021). As a filmmaker, she has produced several award-winning feature films, web series, and short films. Most recently, she produced and edited “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” with her company, Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble, and the short film “Lessons From my Father” which is currently being shown at film festivals in the NYC area. She also produced “The New Neighborhood”, a web series which was invited to the HollyWeb Festival in Los Angeles, CA. As a teaching artist, she has trained through Classic Stage Company, Roundabout, and The Leadership Program, and has taught at over a dozen NYC public schools in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and the Bronx, and recently, has expanded to teaching virtually for Miami New Drama in Miami, FL. In spring of 2020, she co-founded Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble which aims to bring high-quality theatre education to NYC public schools, through free workshops and performances. She holds an MFA in Acting from Columbia University, and a BA in Theatre from Cal State Fullerton. She is a proud AEA and SAG-AFTRA union member.
