Born in Santa Monica, California, to a show business family, Bruce Winant is the son of well-known character actor H.M. Wynant, network executive and Emmy Hall of Fame inductee Ethel Winant, brother of producer/director Scott Winant and new music percussionist William Winant. He has made a name for himself on the Broadway stage, having appeared in "An American in Paris", "La Cage Aux Folles" ('11 Revival), "The Phantom of the Opera", "Fiddler on the Roof" ('04 revival), "Chicago", "Ragtime", "Miss Saigon", "My Favorite Year", the original L.A. cast of "Les Miserables" and the national tours of "Chicago", "Phantom of the Opera" and "La Cage...". He appeared off-Broadway as Pasquale in "The Most Happy Fella" with the NY City Opera, as Al Jolson in "Jolson and Company" and in regional theaters across the country. He has also appeared in films and TV shows over the years, including as a regular on the NBC series First Years (2001) and recurring roles on Law & Order (1990). Bruce also runs, along with 'Dann Fink', one of the top "loop groups" in NY, "Loopers Unlimited". He is featured on the recordings "Les Miserables the Complete Symphonic Recording" (Grammy Award), "The Complete Miss Saigon", "Lucky Stiff" and the original cast recording of "Fiddler", "Ragtime" (Grammy Nomination) and "My Favorite Year". Bruce lives in West Milford, New Jersey, with his wife Kristin and has two children, Arden Winant and Jayce Winant.
