Spencer Theater Announces 2022 Summer Season
Catch what’s on stage at the Spencer Theater this Summer Season 2022, a popping 13-week calendar of live music, special events and dining fun. The vibrant line-up includes everything from traditional western swing, contemporary folk, gospel and classic country, iconic rock and pop superstars, award-winning Mediterranean (flamenco/Greek) guitar, folk and surf rock legends, full-stage tributes, and children’s musical theatre.
Ernie Hasse & Signature Sound Come to Spencer Theater
Ernie Haase and the Signature Sound, the Grammy-nominated and GMA Dove-award winning southern gospel music group returns to the Spencer Theater stage on Saturday, May 25 at 8 p.m., launching the summer season with vocal grace and heavenly harmonies.
Larry Gatlin Kicks-Off Summer Season at Spencer Theater
Headlining the Spencer Theater Summer Season 2017 is the classic country praise music of The Blackwood Quartet and the legendary Larry Gatlin of The Gatlin Brothers on Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m. (Concert tickets are $39-$69). This promises to be a night of pure western-styled gospel beauty with the Blackwood's favorite Christian melodies like How Great Thou Art, Put Your Hand In The Hand, The Light House, Amazing Grace, Peace In The Valley, and many other gospel classics. Western great Larry Gatlin (pictured above), the eldest of the three Gatlin Brothers and writer of all their greatest hits including All The Gold In California and Houston, holds some of the most prestigious awards in the industry. His showcase of gospel and Gatlin favorites will open the second set of music that night, following The Blackwood Quartet (pictured left). The duo of headliners will then come together in our stage lights for an extended encore of songs. This special evening is being sponsored in-part by Lynn & Bruce Morgan and Sandra & David Barrett.

The Shirelles Starring Beverly Lee to Perform at Spencer Theater, 8/9
When The Shirelles rang out their uncertain question in song: 'Will you still love me tomorrow, ' listeners around the world roared YES! The classic song, sung by a class act of ladies, was just one of many different doo wop, Rhythm & Blues and smooth uptown soul tunes they intoned into history.
First Spencer Wine & Brew Festival Set for Today
Celebrating the vast grape growing and wine producing industry in southern New Mexico, as well as the state's booming microbrews, the Spencer unveils the first Spencer Wine & Brew Festival at the theater today, July 5 from 2 p.m.- 9 p.m. Various wineries and breweries will provide pours at booths set throughout the hall and arts & crafts vendors will also be on site, as will a selection of edibles including gourmet sliders & sides, fruit & cheese plates will be available for purchase. Live jazz music performed by the sizzling ensemble Straight Up Jazz of Albuquerque, and Spanish guitar with area favorite Tomas Vigil, also sets the mood for a day of popping good fun.

Grammy Winner Melissa Manchester to Play Spencer Cabaret Night, 5/31
Grammy-winner Melissa Manchester - Saturday, May 31 at 8 p.m. ($69 & $66)). Pop-rock songstress with a bevy of honors and awards for her catalog of beautiful pop ballads “Midnight Blue,” “Through The Eyes of Love,” “Whenever I Call You Friend,” “Don't Cry Out Loud” and “You Should Hear How She Talks About You,” among other hits. Melissa will play the piano and sing at her multi-media Spencer gig, which includes guitar and vocal accompaniment. Pre-show ravioli & linguini lobby buffet ($20) at 6 p.m.

The packed schedule, running late May through August features 16 stellar events, all staged with superior lighting and grand acoustics at the award-winning, not-for-profit Alto, New Mexico performance hall. Pre-performance lobby buffets are offered ($20) before most every show, enabling patrons to easily enjoy a scrumptious hot meal with bar drinks before curtain time.
