Birth Place: New Orleans
Bruce is a native New Orleanian who now lives in New York City. His pre-collegiate training includes New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts (NOCCA) and Harrison School for the Arts; where he trained for two years after Hurricane Katrina devastated his hometown. Bruce continued his studies at Ithaca College where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Since gradation, Bruce has performed anywhere from basements to Broadway! Highlights include many of New York City’s most popular venues including Lincoln Center, New York City Center, The York Theatre, Schimmel Center, Feinstein’s 54 Below, and Radio City Music Hall. Bruce traveled the country with the 1st National Tour of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella (u/s Prince Topher), and after returning to New York he made his Broadway debut in Sir Cameron Mackintosh’s revival of Les Misérables. Following his time on the barricade, Bruce joined Ahrens & Flaherty’s Tony-nominated Broadway hit musical, Anastasia (u/s Dmitry). Most recently Bruce was seen playing Cliff Bradshaw in Goodspeed Musicals’ production of Cabaret, on Theatre Row playing Dominique in Stephen Schwartz’s The Baker’s Wife, and at The Cape Playhouse as Henri in An American in Paris. Other favorite roles include Link Larkin in Hairspray, Fabrizio in The Light in the Piazza, Jean-Michel in La Cage Aux Folles, Frederic in Pirates of Penzance, and Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid. Bruce can also be seen assisting his buddy Kal Penn on Food Network’s competition show, Money Hungry!
