CBS Addresses Les Moonves Exit
CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS) ('CBS' or 'the Company') today announced a settlement agreement with National Amusements, Inc. ('NAI'), members of the CBS Board of Directors, and related parties. Under the terms of the settlement, which have been approved by the Boards of Directors of CBS and NAI, the parties agreed to dismiss their pending litigation in Delaware. The full Board of CBS (following the unanimous recommendation of the Special Committee of the Board) has unanimously rescinded the previously announced Class A share dividend, and NAI has amended the Bylaws to undo the previous amendments that it adopted following filing of the Delaware litigation.

Last evening, the Apollo Theater celebrated its 11th Annual Spring Gala raising $1.7M for its year-round artistic and community programming initiatives. The concert portion of the evening was hosted by LL COOL J, and opened with the dynamic dancing duo Laurent & Larry Bourgeois of Les Twins. The concert also featured performances by legendary R&B group, The O'Jays including rousing version of Love Train, The Backstabbers, For the Love of Money and more. Rising star vocalist, Leon Bridges brought the crowd to its feet with a performance of Mustang Sally and vocalist Andra Day performed her hit song City Burns,followed by a touching performance of Unforgettable in tribute to legendary songstress Natalie Cole. Host LL COOL J also joined DJ D-Nice for a tribute to Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest - one of several iconic artists lost in 2016.

The evening featured a special performance by Grammy Award-winning R&B singer-songwriter Chrisette Michele and was emceed by CBS anchorman Maurice DuBois.

David Henrie (Wizards of Waverly Place) will play the lead in 1,000 to 1: The Cory Weissman Story, the true story of a young basketball player who suffered a catastrophic stroke as a freshman at Gettysburg College but through determination and an indomitable spirit returned to the court for one remarkable moment in the last game of his senior year. The chances of him surviving the stroke at all were bleak. The odds of him returning to the court were astronomical. Multiple Emmy® nominee Beau Bridges (Without Warning: The James Brady Story, The Descendants) stars as the Gettysburg College basketball coach George Petrie and Jean Louisa Kelly (Mr. Holland's Opus, Yes, Dear) plays Cory's mother Tina, a physical therapist who became her son's partner in a long recovery.
'PAZZAZZ!' Comes To Southern California
The world premiere of the supercalifragilistic new original full-scale musical production of 'PAZZAZZ!' will open at Santa Barbara's Grand New Performing Arts Center on June 21st. The production will star Dale Kristien, Adam Wylie and Alan Rachins with words and music by Milt Larsen and Oscar winning composer Richard M. Sherman (Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang).
