Daughters Of Troy Presents STROKE VAGINA
Daughters of Troy announces a reading of Stroke Vagina, a new play by Nilsa Reyna. The reading features Ashley Candelaria, Bryan Cortes, Nina Simisterra and Liz Mattera. The reading will be directed by Daphnie Sicre. Stroke Vagina will be presented March 23rd at 7:30 PM at the Dramatist Guild Foundation Music Hall. Tickets are free and doors open at 7:15 PM.
Daughters Of Troy Presents DAUGHTERS RISING
The apprentices of Daughters of Troy announce Daughters Rising, a show featuring pieces written, directed, and performed by them. Daughters Rising features a cast of sixteen performers, and focuses on the work created by the apprentices this year, as well as highlighting difference mediums of art, such as poetry, dance, music, and digital media. The show will take place May 15th at 9:30 pm at The Dramatist Guild Foundation Music Hall.
Kitchen Theatre Partners With Daughters Of Troy To Produce Reading Of Lauren Gunderson's NATURAL SHOCKS
Ithaca's Kitchen Theatre Company is partnering with NYC's Daughters of Troy to produce a reading of Natural Shocks, a new play by Lauren Gunderson on April 21st at 4 pm. The show, based on Hamlet's 'To be or not to be,' follows a woman waiting out an imminent tornado in her basement, and grappling with the reality of gun violence. The reading at the Kitchen, directed by Aubrey Saverino and featuring Brooke M. Haney, is one of over 50 that are happening all over the country that weekend, the 19th anniversary of the Columbine attack. Tickets are a suggested donation and all proceeds will be donated to The Advocacy Center in Tompkins County.

Workshop Production of UNCONVENTIONALLY INTIMATE to Launch in Soho
Writer and Performer Alexandra LaPlante workshops her indelicate new play, Unconventionally Intimate, in a gorgeous Soho loft on Friday, January 19th at 7:30pm. Tickets are $12. Following the play, there will be a post show discussion and social hour with wine and beer.

Daughters of Troy announces the 2017/18 Apprentice Company. This marks the second education initiative for the company, following the Summer Apprentice Company. As Daughters of Troy workshops material over the fall, the company aims to foster the development of young artists through the Apprentice Company.
Daughters of Troy Announces Theatre and Visual Artist Company for The Persephone Project
Daughters of Troy is currently developing The Persephone Project on Governors Island in New York through Barton Booth's MAKE ROOM initiative. This year's residency explores female sexuality and desire through the lens of the Persephone myth. An exhibition of artwork inspired by the themes will be open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 2 and Sunday, Sept. 3 from 10a-6pm, along with free performances of the theatrical works-in-progress at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm at Building 8A in Nolan Park on Governors Island.
Brooke and Chad Are… JUST AS GAY AS YOU
Cabaret Artists Chad M. Ryan and Brooke M. Haney's first collaborative endeavor, Brooke and Chad Are… Just as Gay as You. (A Queer Cabaret of Chaos and Clarity), premieres this year during Pride Week on Tuesday, June 20th at 6:30 pm at the Duplex. Created by Haney and Ryan from their combined personal "GAY" experiences, the show explores the themes of queerness and identity and the unlikely friendship between a Gay man and a Queer woman, all under their shared love of music and storytelling. Filled with chaotic humour, truth telling vulnerability and occasional crisp clarity, the evening is sure to be a 'gay ol time.' The duo has also partnered with Shining Hope for Communities to raise money and build awareness for Margaret's Safe Place, a project of Shining Hope. To that end, a portion of the proceeds from every ticket will go to support Shining Hope.
Added Performance of UNCONVENTIONALLY INTIMATE Announced
The workshop performance of Unconventionally Intimate on Tuesday May 30th has sold out. The team has added a second workshop on Thursday, June 1st at 7:30 pm also at the Music Hall at the Dramatist Guild Fund. Documenting her real life experiences navigating the complex and delightfully awkward world of contemporary dating, Unconventionally Intimate is Alexandra LaPlante's humorous, fascinating and sexy look at what is possible... if you throw traditional expectations out the window.
DAUGHTERS OF TROY Set for One-Night-Only Performance at Dixon Place
Daughters of Troy announces an expansion of their interdisciplinary project which began earlier this year at an artist residency on Governors Island. The one night performance of mostly new theatrical works-in-progress will take place at Dixon Place on November 21st at 7:30pm.
