Billy Joel turns 73 this week and The Encore is celebrating in a big way. One of the best-selling artists of all time, with over 160 million records sold worldwide, Billy Joel has had a successful career as a solo artist since the 1970s. With memorable hits like New York State of Mind, Just the Way You Are, Scenes From an Italian Restaurant and more, The Encore will once again take audiences back in time with their popular tribute concert series.
The Eagles Tribute Concert Comes to The Encore Stage in February
The Encore Musical Theatre Company kicks off 2022 with another exciting live music event, The Eagles Tribute Concert. As with their sell-out Queen Tribute last fall, The Encore promises to Take It to the Limit once again with an evening of classic hits, smooth harmonies and a rockin’ band led by music director, BRIAN ROSE.
Adelphi to Present A Staged Reading Of A CHRISTMAS CAROL
In the spirit of the holiday season, Adelphi University will present a staged reading of the Charles Dickens classic 'A Christmas Carol' in the style of an old radio drama. The holiday tradition will take place on Saturday, December 18, at Adelphi's Performing Arts Center.
THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST Coming To Adelphi PAC
Oscar Wilde's classic farce, The Importance of Being Earnest, comes to Adelphi University Performing Arts Center (PAC) on Tuesday, October 29, through Sunday, November 3. Performed by the students of the Department of Theatre, the well-known British play combines pointed wit and sharp social satire. The production is directed by Brian Rose.
Sondheim's MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG Announces Cast For Ann Arbor Production
Runyonland Productions will present Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, inspired by the Kaufman and Hart play of the same name, in concert on February 28th - March 1st at 7:30pm at the Lydia Mendelssohn Theatre in Ann Arbor, MI. Original Broadway lead actress Ann Morrison will be in attendance opening night, along with others from the 1981 production.

Tickets are now on sale for the newest live show from YouTube comedy group the Tin Can Brothers, THE SOLVE IT SQUAD RETURNS. The one-act play follows the adventures of a group of former kid detectives. After 20 years of growing up and apart, they must return to the scene of their greatest unsolved case: the murder of their trusty dog Cluebert. A send-up to classics like Scooby Doo, The Hardy Boys, and Nancy Drew, THE SOLVE IT SQUAD RETURNS puts its own dark, twisted spin on these beloved characters.
