Musicals Tonight! Announces Revival Of ANYTHING GOES

Tony Winner Alice Ripley to Star in THE LEARNED LADIES Musical Workshop with Musical Direction by Kimberly Grigsby

Composer Ray Leslee (Standup Shakespeare, Avenue X) and playwright, actor, HBO Def Poet, Brian Dykstra, have teamed up with Musical Director Kimberly Grigsby (Amelie, Spiderman, Spring Awakening) to present a workshop presentation of a new musical based on the comedy by Moliere. The script-in-hand readings will take place Thursday Nov 16th at The Lark Play Development Center and Friday, November 17th at Manhattan Theatre Club Studios. The presentation will be directed by Margarett Perry.

Eric Sciotto Will Step in as Shakespeare in SOMETHING ROTTEN!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, SOMETHING ROTTEN!'s current cod-piece clad Shakespeare -- Will Chase -- will depart the show on October 9, and will be replaced temporarily by understudy Eric Sciotto. Sciotto will assume the role through October 23. A permanent replacement has not yet been announced.

STALKER: THE MUSICAL Set for New York Fringe Festival

Brian Ogilvie  (Gigi, Mary Poppins) stars in Stalker: The Musical, a satirical new show, that will run August 14 - 26 as a part of the New York Fringe Festival. Set in a dystopian world where love has been eradicated and lust is celebrated, Stalker: the Musical is a dark comedy that follows the story of Jay Cloudstreet, who finds himself unusually and illegally drawn to one particular girl.

DMI Soundtracks has announced the immediate availability on iTunes of the New Broadway Cast Recording for Gigi, Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning musical comedy.  The recording was produced and engineered by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti.  The CD is slated for release in June.
