Maui's Brian Kohne, is the award-winning writer/director of “GET A JOB” along with being the creative force behind the "BAREFOOT NATIVES" (Willie K and Eric Gilliom). www.getajobmovie.com/

In 2012, Kohne was named by the Maui News as a "Person Who Made A Difference". He is passionate about the cinema arts and has produced concerts and screened movies in every major venue in the islands.

Currently, as the writer/director, Kohne is in pre-development for "KULEANA" a 70's thriller set in Hawaii. He is also attached to another full feature project, "A SPOONFUL OF SUGAR".

KULEANA Film to be Honored By L.A. Mayor's Office at May 5th Premiere

The award-winning film KULEANA enters its fourth week on Regal Cinema's island screens, including Pearl Highlands on Oahu, Maui Mall Megaplex in Kahului, and Keauhou Stadium 10 in Kona. Despite being the first Hawaii feature in almost a decade to make it to the big screen statewide, KULEANA has proven itself a mainstream competitor to other Hollywood blockbuster films currently in theaters.

KULEANA to Premiere at Maui Film Festival at Wailea

"Kuleana," a Hawaiian produced mystery-thriller set on Maui in the early 70's, will premiere at the Maui Film Festival at Wailea. Written and directed by Brian Kohne and produced by Stefan Schaefer, "Kuleana" will have its Hawaii premiere at the festival's Celestial Cinema in the coveted 8 p.m. Friday slot June 23. The Maui Film Festival at Wailea runs from June 21, to June 25, 2017.
Underfunded Film Festival to Screen Award-Winning Films This Month

The Underfunded Film Festival will showcase the winning movies, shorts and music videos as part of Film Quest on Monday, June 27th. Screenings will begin at 6pm at the Megaplex-17 Theater in Jordan Commons shopping area in Sandy, Utah.
