Join Bespoke Plays at The Pico (10508 Pico Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90064) on February 10 at 2pm and February 12 at 8pm for an inventive new musical in progress from the mind of musician, writer, and producer Erin McKeown (MISS YOU LIKE HELL, La Jolla Playhouse & The Public Theater). Featuring original songs in the style of the Great American Songbook, TERRARIUM BEHAVIOUR is art for our current moment. Fifty years ago, a band of young actors-led by a duo fresh out of San Francisco State-came together through a love of theatre. When they officially formed as a company, South Coast Repertory, the group's first production was Moliere's classic, Tartuffe. One of the most beloved novels of all time, Jane Austen's PRIDE AND PREJUDICE has so consistently resonated with readers since its first publication in 1813 that it has spawned a plethora of dramatic adaptations on several different mediums. Continuing the trend is South Coast Repertory, now running an enjoyable new stage production continuing through October 9. This brisk, high-tech, yet faithful stage adaptation imagines the story coming to life before the eyes of a young teenager observing the drama.
