Joel Schumacher to Helm NEIGHBORHOOD 3 at The Flea
The Flea Theater presents the New York premiere of Jennifer Haley's NEIGHBORHOOD 3: REQUISITION OF DOOM, directed by Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever, The Client, The Lost Boys) and featuring members of The Bats, the Flea's resident acting company. Previews begin November 9, with opening night slated for Monday, November 16. Shrunken Shakespeare Company (SSC), in association with Joe Paradise, announced today that Nigerian-born Royal Shakespeare Company associate artist Chukwudi Iwuji (The Public/RSC: Anthony and Cleopatra; London Old Vic/BAM: Richard III with Kevin Spacey) has joined the cast of Paul Sorvino's world premiere adaption of Lear as part of their 2014 Fundraiser Gala, including Broadway, Off-Broadway and TV veterans. An ambitious retelling of Homer's classic, Odd.A.See explores how the memories of violence haunt us, and how we struggle to find the courage to go home.
