Hennepin Theatre Trust has announced that the world's largest drag show on earth will make its way to Minneapolis in RuPaul's Drag Race Werq The World 2023 on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023 at 8 p.m. at the historic State Theatre (805 Hennepin Ave.). In a new sci-fi adventure set in a dystopian future, the drag superstars of “RuPaul's Drag Race” must choose between the real world and the simulated reality they have known.

The queens of RuPaul's Drag Race must save the galaxy in their brand new WERQ THE WORLD show, touring Europe in April and May 2019. Produced by Voss Events, Drag Race producers World of Wonder and VH1, the all-new production follows a team of intergalactic queens including Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Detox*, Kameron Michaels, Kim Chi, Monet X Change, Naomi Smalls and Violet Chachki on their mission to the sun to save our solar system from a dark entity intent on harnessing its power. Voss Events DRAG BRUNCH Launches at The Iridium
The divas at the wildly popular Voss Events Drag Brunch will begin a brand-new run at NYC's The Iridium beginning Sunday, April 7. "It's about time this big derriere of mine made its way to Broadway," proclaims Jada Valenciaga who stars in the show alongside drag queens Bootsie Lefaris, Pattaya Hart, and Egypt. The show will feature DJ David Serrano and the divas performing hilarious remakes of disco favorites. Drag legend and former America's Got Talent contestant Shequida hosts. "We will leave drag fans gagging, laughing and feeling fabulous," she promises. "This is brunch, honey, and the best brunch is one you stumble out of!" Voss Events Drag Brunch takes place every Sunday at 12pm and 2:30pm from now through December at The Iridium, 1650 Broadway.

MTWorks Gives Voice to Wildlife Victims of Gulf Oil Spill in DARK WATER
MANHATTAN THEATRE WORKS (MTWorks), in association with the Theater Series at the 14th Street Y, are pleased to announce the world premiere of MTWorks Co-Artistic Director David Stallings' DARK WATER, directed by Heather Cohn (FringeNYC Excellence Award for Outstanding Direction for Other Bodies). In DARK WATER, the swampland of Louisiana is hit with the most massive oil spill known to history. Barnacle, an old sea turtle, fights against man's destruction, nature's wrath, and her enemies of the wild to save her children trapped in the spill. Poetry, allegory, music, puppetry and movement create this magical world as the animals of Louisiana face the ultimate threat to their lives.
BUYER & CELLAR's Jonathan Tolins Set for Metropolitan Opera Quiz Panel on 1/11
Jonathan Tolins, the author of Buyer & Cellar, will be a panelist on the Metropolitan Opera Quiz during the first intermission of this week's broadcast of Die Fledermaus. The new production of Strauss's operetta is performed in English with new dialogue by Broadway playwright Douglas Carter Beane, and features Tony Award winner Danny Burstein in the comic role of Frosch the jailer. This will be Tolins's second appearance on the Quiz after making his debut a year ago. Buyer & Cellar continues its record-breaking run at the Barrow Street Theatre off-Broadway and is currently selling tickets through April 13. The show will be produced later this year in Chicago, Los Angeles, and other cities to be announced.
