Westchester Broadway Theatre Celebrates 40th Anniversary Today
Today, July 9, 2014 Westchester Broadway Theatre will celebrate its 40th Anniversary. The Theatre has a history of 184 main-stage productions and nearly a thousand Monday/Tuesday special events and concerts. WBT's objective with this world-class venue is to always provide its audiences, which come from far and wide, with the highest production values and most memorable entertainment and dining experiences.

Westchester Broadway Theatre presents its 40th anniversary production of Disney's and Cameron Mackintosh's MARY POPPINS, a musical based on the stories of P. L. Travers and the Walt Disney Film, featuring original music and lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, book by Julian Fellowes, new songs and additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, co-created by Cameron Mackintosh. Directed and Choreographed by Richard Stafford, with musical direction by Leo Carusone, the production continues now through July 27, 2014. Scroll down for new production photos from the show!

Standing Ovation Studio's OLIVER! will open on August 15 at Westchester Broadway Theatre, and run through September 8. The colorful characters of Charles Dickens' classic 'Oliver Twist' come brilliantly to life in Victorian London. This beloved musical tells the tale of the orphan boy who is swept into a band of pickpockets; the Artful Dodger, the menacing Bill Sikes, the kind-hearted Nancy, all led by the wily Fagin.The sensational, Tony award winning, score is full of Lionel Bart's irresistible songs including 'Food Glorious Food', 'Consider Yourself', 'I'd Do Anything', 'Oom Pah Pah', 'As Long As He Needs Me' and many more. This show truly captures the joys and challenges of youth and will be sure to warm the heart of your entire family.

OLIVER! Opens 8/15 at Westchester Broadway Theatre
The cast will feature Brandon Singel as Oliver. Brandon of Harrison, NY, also starred as Winthrop in The Music Man here at WBT. Mr. Bumble will be played by John Egan, of Dobbs Ferry, a veteran Broadway performer who has starred in The Producers, The Little Mermaid, Sister Act, Nice Work If You Can Get It, to name a few. John Anthony Lopez will perform as Fagin, Lucy Braid as Nancy, Todd Ritch as The Artful Dodger, Brian Krinsky as Bill Sykes, and Regina Singel as Widow Corney.
