Brandon Michael Lowden is a bookwriter, composer, and lyricist (in varying combinations). He spends way too much time thinking about how technology and popular culture inform and influence our sense of self, our interactions with each other, and our perception of the world around us — for good or ill. Using highly guarded secret science, he converts a percentage of those thoughts into eclectic musical theater, tackling fears about artificial intelligence or gender inequality in sports through reference-laden banter and off-kilter pop and rock.
Raised in Pittsburgh, Brandon is well-adapted for the humid subtropical climate (for now) of New York City, where he works in public transit technology while developing anywhere from one to three new musicals at a given time. His degrees in electrical engineering and musical theater writing serve well in both careers (really!) as he slowly ages out of consideration for "emerging writer" awards.
While you keep your eyes peeled for the next BML appearance at New York's sundry cabaret venues, surf the World Wide Web with him at www.BookMusicLyrics.com and follow @bookmusiclyrics on most social media. Brandon says: “Thanks for checking out my art. I made it for you!”
